This is a calming practice that relies on blocks, straps, sandbags, bolsters and blankets to create a passive release of mind and body. Props don’t just support your body physically, but they also create a sense of comfort and support. You will be essentially wrapped up in a cocoon of props during practice.
When your nervous system registers safety, it awakens all sorts of healing processes within your body. You might feel a sense of motionlessness and shapelessness, and this can lead you to feel some emotional discomfort and vulnerability.
To support you in the process of finding comfort and feeling secure in the practice, we pair the activity with the possibility of taking CBD oil. CBD regulates serotonin and dopamine neurotransmitters in the brain which help you to stay focused and relaxed. It helps calm the mind, focus and be present in the moment.
